The first steps towards the Kalgoorlie-Boulder city centre’s revitalisation were taken at last week’s all purpose committee meeting.
The draft Kalgoorlie City Centre Strategy and endorsement of the implementation process passed 7-0.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder chief executive Don Burnett said the KCCS had been developed to establish a vision for the growth and development of the city centre.
The $150 million revitalisation plan has been submitted to the State Government for funding, including $10m for the entire KCCS project.
Mr Burnett said the project was part of the city’s commitment to the future of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
