A Kalgoorlie-Boulder man has been given a nine-month jail sentence for failing to appear in court while on a pre-sentence order.

Michael Allan Schreuder, 24, appeared in the Kalgoorlie Magistrate’s Court yesterday after failing to appear in court earlier this month.

Schreuder had been given the pre-sentence order after committing a variety of offences while on an intensive supervision order.

He had previously been charged with aggravated common assault, assaulting a person working in a hospital, wilfully damaging property and breaching protective bail conditions.

Schreuder was told he faced a jail term of nine months if he failed to complete the order and its requirements.
