Nationals WA candidate for the seat of Kalgoorlie Wendy Duncan says she supports her party's decision to rule out directing preferences to Labor.
The WA Nationals announced yesterday they would not form Government with Labor after the March 9 State election.
Under no circumstances would preferences be directed to Labor in Lower House seats.
For the seat of Kalgoorlie, this means Nationals preferences would be directed to Liberal candidate Melissa Price, rather than Labor’s Terrence Winner.
“We’re still aiming for the balance of power this election,” Ms Duncan said.
“With there being 11 regional seats and 48 city seats, the balance of power is the only way for the regions to have a strong voice."'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
