'No richer' from boom

Recent data shows most Australians feel no richer from the resources boom and are concerned about the Government’s reliance on mining revenue.

A survey commissioned by SBS has found 53 per cent of Australians feel the mining boom has made no difference to their personal finances.

Only 16 per cent feel they have benefited from the mining boom – furthermore, 42 per cent believe it has increased the cost of living.
