Almost 1000 people gathered in Centennial Park on Tuesday to enjoy food and a range of activities at Christmas in the Park.
The event began at 11am, although many people chose to arrive earlier to ensure they had a good spot.
Attendees had the chance to take part in face painting, balloon modelling and various sporting events.
There was even a bouncy castle and a dunk tank for the younger crowd.
Co-ordinator Tracey McCartney said the event was a great success and it was great to see so many people in the community coming together to celebrate Christmas.“The weather was beautiful, there was a lovely atmosphere and everyone had lots of fun,” she said. “We gave out over 800 meals at lunch-time and Father Christmas came down at about 1pm, which the children loved.
