Two West Australian political analysts have given the advantage to Dr Graham Jacobs in his pursuit to reclaim the Seat of Eyre.
Dr Jacobs, who was elected to Parliament in 2005, will contest the seat against the only other confirmed candidate, WA Nationals member Colin De Grussa.
Political analysts, Dr Harry Phillips and Professor David Black, spoke to the Kalgoorlie Miner yesterday and gave their view on the outcome of the seat.
Dr Phillips said Dr Jacobs had the advantage of incumbency and was a “well-known” local member.“Any candidate who stands against him would have to start in terms of expectations that Graham Jacobs would more likely be returned than not,” he said.
