Once again the annual Christmas in the Park will help ensure no one is alone during this special time of year.
Every year more than 800 people make their way to Centennial Park to celebrate Christmas day with a range of fun activities and a delicious traditional luncheon.
Organised by the Church of Christ Kalgoorlie and sponsored by local organisations including the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Freerange Supplies and McLean Printing, the event is set to be bigger than any of its predecessors.
More than 70 volunteers help every year to help make Christmas in the Park a success.
Event organiser Tracey McCartney said often there were many community events held in the lead-up to Christmas, but none on the day.“We receive many reports that other places in Australia do not have events like this,” she said. Christmas in the Park will be held at Centennial Park on Christmas day from 11am to 2pm.
