Members of the public have expressed concern about the lack of permanent signage at the new Kalgoorlie Hospital emergency department.
Despite opening more than three weeks ago, exterior signs pointing to the old department have been taped over with black sheeting and another sign has a white builder’s tape arrow pointing to the new accident and emergency department.
Monica Rustichelli said she needed to attend emergency yesterday.
She said at first she went to the old emergency department before working out the new building had opened.
“At first I didn’t know where it was and had to have a look around, but it took time,” she said.
“In the end I had to ask someone.”Signs for the new medical imaging and high dependency unit appear to have been printed out on an office printer and stuck onto the walls with blu-tack.
