Santa stops by to party at playgroup

The arrival of Father Christmas at the Kathleen Day Playgroup generally met with big smiles and excitement at the prospect of receiving presents.

It was not without a few tears, however, with some of the playgroup’s younger members bewildered at the heavily bearded fellow with the hearty laugh.

Yesterday, the playgroup celebrated Christmas with a morning tea party, craft activities and gift-giving.

Playgroup president Regan Brewer said the event was a wonderful opportunity to meet and see all the different playgroup members.
