Preparations for the Regional Arts Australia National Conference are well under way, with the artistic director named yesterday.

Ben Fox will fill the role for the conference, which will be held in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 2014.

Mr Fox, who has held a number of positions including director of the Australian Network for Art and Technology and artistic director of Wilurarra Creative, will spend at least 12 months in the city in the lead-up to the event.

Speaking to the Kalgoorlie Miner yesterday, Mr Fox said he was looking forward to moving to the city.
