A Boulder woman raised $6000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation only to have it stolen by thieves on Saturday night.

Trish Blaasch, a barista at Zarraffa’s Coffee, decided to shave her head last month to raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

After losing her great grandma to the disease a few months ago, the 26-year-old is now supporting her aunty through radiotherapy. She said it was devastating to see the generosity of the community go to waste.

“I was aiming for $2000 and I got $1000 each from two blokes, it blows you away,” she said. “I raised six grand all up for the Breast Cancer Foundation and it just sucks.

“We were both out at Christmas parties and they just forced their way through the kitchen window.”

The thieves also stole another $1200 and her husband’s new Mazda BT-50 ute, which was found written off about 60km from Kambalda.
