Police and State Emergency personnel were yesterday searching for a 34-year-old man missing in dense scrubland near Menzies in the North Eastern Goldfields.

The man had been prospecting with two friends on Saturday, 7km south of Menzies and travelling by motorbike, when he left the group.

He was last seen by his friends about 3pm.

The man’s friends spent four hours looking for him before contacting police, who launched a ground search overnight on Saturday in a bid to locate the man.
