Bushfire warnings for Laverton shire
The Fire and Emergency Service has issued warnings over bushfires in the Shire of Laverton.
The fires were burning yesterday in remote bushland on both sides of David Carnegie Road and Hunt Oil Road north of Great Central Road.
An alert was also issued over a fire burning on both sides of the Connie Sue Road, in the Great Victorian Desert.
The fires have been contained for a number of weeks but have flared up and caused smoke obscuring visibility on the Great Central Road.
FESA said drivers should be extremely careful driving through the area and to stay alert and monitor the surroundings.
