Some lucky Goldfields workers were given yesterday off to partake in a round of golf.
But it was all in the name of charity, as 96 people – 24 teams of four – competed in the second McDonalds Goldfields Children Charity Golf Day at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course.
Organiser Scott Gunson said the golfers had great fun while raising money for the charities’ beneficiaries including Ronald McDonald House and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Late yesterday, the $20,000 prize for getting a hole-in-one on the 13th hole was yet to be won.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
