Police are questioning members of the public after the discovery of a clandestine drug lab in Boulder.
The lab was found on Thursday in a vacant house in Piesse Street.
Police were alerted to the house by a resident who went to the house to move some of their items to a new home. During removal of their belongings the resident found items relating to drug manufacturing in a storeroom at the back of the house, according to Detective First Class Constable Andrew Thompson.
“Officers from the Organised Crime Squad and Kalgoorlie Detectives attended the address and processed the scene and seized a number of exhibits,” he said.
“These are common items that can be found at any hardware store which is obviously a worrying sign for police that these sort of chemicals and these sort of items are readily available.”While charges are yet to be laid in regards to the discovery, it is understood police are still conducting inquiries.
