Goldfielders were at Hammond Park at the weekend to enjoy some fruit and vegetables.
The festivities were part of Fruit and Veg Month, which aims to promote eating the crucial foods and create awareness of easy ways for people to include more fruit and vegetables in their day.
Goldfields Population Health nutritionist Rachael Nugent said the day was fantastic, with a large number of people turning out in the sunny conditions.
“It was too hectic to do a count, but I would say in excess of 150 people came along,” she said.“It was about celebrating fruit and veg and to remind people to keep chugging along with their fruit and veg intake.”
