The Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre is set to expand its aquatic classes and will host aqua class instructor training sessions next month.
The training will allow people to qualify as official aqua instructors.
The Oasis is providing two aqua classes a week, but health and fitness team leader Sylvia Dashwood said centre staff planned to make major changes to try to get more people involved.
“We really want to expand our aqua classes and create dedicated classes for everyone, from young people to older patrons and especially speciality groups like pregnant women,” she said.
“Becoming an aqua instructor is a great thing to do and allows you to work to your own schedule.”
Ms Dashwood said the training would help to complement other skills people may have, such as physiotherapy, chiropractic and fitness instructor qualifications.Clean water shrinking in 'Last Call at the Oasis'Clean water shrinking in 'Last Call at the Oasis' Reuters
