Scammer alert

A crew of scammers selling poor-quality stereo equipment has reportedly entered the Goldfields.

The conmen, who have made repeated appearances in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, are known to approach random members of the public with the offer of cut-price electronic equipment.

The items are generally in poor condition and buyers also run the risk of purchasing stolen goods.

The men are believed to be driving a plain white van, registration number 1DTB 669.

Any sightings should be reported to the Department of Commerce on 9026 3250.
