Ellis’ plans for MacPhersons

MacPhersons Reward Gold is moving forward with its new focus on silver.

Experienced miner Ron Ellis has joined the company as operations manager and his brief is to bring the Nimbus Silver and MacPhersons and Tycho Gold projects through recommissioning and towards production this year.

Mr Ellis brings a wealth of successful operational experience to the MacPhersons team, from the Goldfields and Australia-wide, including three years at the Broken Hill silver-zinc-lead mine.

He also brings corporate management experience having recently finished four years with GBF Mining as chief executive and general manager.

Mr Ellis’ initial plan at Nimbus Silver mine will be to complete the recommissioning of the silver processing facility which has been on care and maintenance since 2007 when the mine closed after producing 3.6Moz of silver at an average grade of 353g/t.
