Big plans for centre

The Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre has settled into temporary offices at the Goldfields Regional District Education Office on Federal Road.

The relocation is part of the building improvement plan for the centre’s Dugan Street offices, which are undergoing major renovations.

The improvements, made possible through grants from Royalties for Regions, Lotterywest and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, are well overdue.

The building has been owned by the centre for about 20 years.

It will be business as usual at the temporary home while the Dugan Street building will receive a new roof, restumping and other minor works.

Coordinator Deborah Botica said it was anticipated the centre would remain at the Goldfields Regional District Education office for about four months. The centre’s contact details remain the same and the office will be open from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
