Kalabunga is the word as The Comedy Hour kicks off the hilarity for 2012 with its Beach Party show tonight and tomorrow night.

Organiser Mel Randall said the audience should wear beach clothes and get ready to ride a tidal wave of laughs during the Kalabunga funny fest.

“Our comedians are on a hig, h having just returned from our second comedy camp and the RAW (competition) heats in Perth – they’re raring to go,” she said.

The show’s line up included experienced performers and new recruits strutting their stuff and the net result would be side-splitting laughter, she said.

Tickets for tonight’s performance have almost completely sold out, but some are still available for tomorrow.

Kalabunga will kick off at 151 Hannan Street, with doors opening at 6.30pm, live music from 7pm and comedy from 8pm.
