Fields aid pours in for flood victims

Kalgoorlie-Boulder residents have been asked to dig deep to help those affected by the floods in New South Wales and Queensland.

Woolworths has made a foundation donation of $200,000 and will be accepting donations through the checkout for The Salvation Army and Woolworths flood appeal.

Director of supermarkets Tjeerd Jegen said given how generously Woolworth’s customers were in donating last year to the flood appeal, the company was asking them to do it again.

“Woolworths is proud to partner with the Salvation Army for this appeal,” he said.

“They are already working in the affected communities in evacuation centres, administering emergency financial support and counselling and helping to clean up where the flood waters have subsided.

“We are asking customers to dig deep and give what they can, all donations will go a long way.”
