Double trouble as twins go to primary school together

Most families would consider themselves blessed to have a set of twins, but to have two sets in the space of four years is rare indeed and the odds of both sets of twins being fraternal would be incredibly high.

But that is what happened to Goldfields mother Sue Nevile, whose four children all attended Kalgoorlie Primary School on Friday – two of them for the first time. Matthew and Kelby Virgin attended Year 2 while their younger siblings, Gemma and Grady, began their first day of kindergarten.

Ms Nevile said she felt a mixture of sadness and relief as she took all four children to school.

“It is a little bit tough to wave goodbye as they attend school for the first time,” she said.

“But it is a bit of a relief to not have all four in the house at the same time.

“Having two sets of twins in the house involves a lot of fun, a lot of laughter, but also a lot of noise.”
