The Goldfields War Museum wrapped up its final school holiday session last week with a spot of gingerbread soldier and nurse making.
Museum services administrator Caron Milner said the kids enjoyed baking and decorating their tiny armed forces representatives.
“The children had a whale of a time,” Ms Milner said.
“We made soldiers in camouflage uniforms and World War I nurses.
“The response we had to the sessions was fantastic and we were always fully booked.”
Ms Milner attributed the program’s success to the popularity of kids’ cooking shows such as Junior Masterchef.
