Rotary club members cooked up a storm at this year’s Big Aussie Breakfast as part of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder’s Australia Day Awards.
More than 1200 hungry residents queued up to get their fill at yesterday’s event, as barbecues sizzled with sausages, bacon, eggs and onions.
Hannans, Kalgoorlie and Boulder rotary clubs all joined forces to dish up the feast to help raise money for Interplast.
Kalgoorlie Rotary spokesman Lloyd Morley said a lot of preparation went into the event.
“Most of us were here at 6am setting up the barbecues and tables and chairs – we started cooking at 7am,” Mr Morley said.
“It is a fantastic family event for Kalgoorlie-Boulder and we are just happy to be a part of it.”Expedition to uncover Kalgoorlie murder siteExpedition to uncover Kalgoorlie murder site ABC
