The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Men’s Shed Association held its inaugural committee meeting recently in anticipation of big things to come.
Chairman Bruce Mason, deputy chairman Tim Taylor and secretary Tex Moore are seeking to make the association an incorporated body so it will be eligible for Government funding and grants.
The Men’s Shed Association is an Australia-wide organisation that provides free workshops and classes for men.
Men of any age can become members for $20 a year and a $3 fee applies each time they attend to cover material costs.
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Men’s Shed has been operational since February, but is still in its early stages.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2012.
