An open day was held last week at the Kalgoorlie Police and Community Youth Centre.
More than 300 people visited the centre – participating in a range of activities including Ju-jitsu, bellydancing, zumba and gymnastics.
A sausage sizzle, face painting and a bouncy castle also helped ensure it was a fun-filled event.
The open day was held as part of preparations for the centre’s 40th anniversary celebration, which will be held next November.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
