The Science and Engineering Challenge visited Kalgoorlie-Boulder for the third year in a row yesterday.
Teams of students took part in a science and engineering focused competition, with the collaborative effort between Southern Cross and Norseman District High Schools taking out the top prize.
Engineers Australia spokesman Ryan Smith said it was the second year in a row the team had won the challenge, winning four of the eight activities.He said the challenge aimed to foster an interest in science among the participants and that the company was hopeful it would return again next year.
