Baking, craft comps make fair comeback

A craft and baking competition will form part of this year’s community fair, after nearly a decade-long hiatus.

Competition organiser Noeline Duncan said it had been eight or nine years since the competition had been held as part of the annual Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community Fair.

The fair will be held on March 23-24 and is expected to have stalls, displays, music and fireworks at the Cruickshank Sports Arena.

Mrs Duncan said there would be a number of categories catering to creative people of all ages, including scrapbooking, beading and baking.

A series of children’s categories has also been organised.

All entries need to be submitted by March 21 or 22, so participants are advised to start thinking about their entries now.

Information booklets will be distributed throughout Kalgoorlie-Boulder over the coming weeks or participants can contact Noeline Duncan on 9021 3748 or nregency@westnet.com.au to find out more.
