Local hairdresser and chaplain Jay Lassey is ready to go a step further fundraising for Relay for Life this weekend, by shaving her head.
Mrs Lassey said she had already managed to secure $2000 in donations and would cut her hair to “number seven” length.
However, for every extra thousand dollars that was raised, she said she would set the clippers to shave even closer.
If she raised $4000 the length of her hair would be cut to a number five. But Mrs Lassey said her goal was to raise more than $8000, at which point she would “go shiny”– shaving her head with a razor.
