A road train driver has been injured after his cab was crushed in vehicle rollover 30km south of the Billabong Roadhouse this morning.
Northampton police were called to attend the crash site at Nerren Nerren, on North West Coastal Hwy, after the accident occurred about 4.10am.
Police say a man, aged in his 60s, was conscious when emergency services arrived and he had sustained minor injuries.
He was taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital for treatment.
The road train landed upside down on its roof. It was transporting three trailers, which also overturned.
The vehicle was travelling north and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Geraldton police Sgt Grant Rosman said it was suspected that one of the trailers may have come into contact with a verge before the accident occurred.
Police were forced to limit road access near the crash site to smaller vehicles only.
Traffic officers from Geraldton police were sent to manage traffic flow in the area.
A recovery vehicle and crane were sent to the site from Geraldton to clear the wreckage.
