Geraldton delivered yet another hole-in-one on Sunday.
Jeremy Pepper reached the cup in one fell swoop at the 15th hole — the third time he’s achieved the feat on the hole.
Unfortunately for club pro Duane Crabb the 15th wasn’t as rewarding, as he took nine shots to finish.
Pepper’s father, Ken, was crowned eventual winner of the Tom Buckley Trophy with 64, on a countback from Jim Quinn.
He didn’t restrain from letting Jeremy know about the victory in his acceptance speech: “It’s more than one shot that makes a round, Jeremy,” he said.
Faye Smart (35 points) prevailed in a tight three-way countback from Val Breen and Kay Thompson in last week’s women’s stableford.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2012.
