WA's top squash coach says it is all about the kids

Geraldton Squash and Racquets Association junior coach Di Knight says the quality of young players in the region is improving — and she would know.

The coach of more than 20 years received the WA Squash Coach of the Year award last week.

She was honoured with the Professional Squash Coaches Association of Australia award last weekend while in Perth for a junior competition.

She said she was shocked to receive the honour as she coaches because she loves the game.

“We have about 16 junior players who play in our pennants competition,” she said.
