West Coast Eagle’s forward Josh Kennedy said he is on his way back to peak fitness following an injury-riddled 2012 campaign.

The Northampton product and his teammates returned to the training track for the first time three weeks ago, after being eliminated in last season’s AFL semifinal.

Kennedy said he returned to training fit and firing.

“I had a lot of weeks off after we finished, probably a bit more than most of the guys in terms of running and it has really helped the body, the foot and the ankle to heal,” he said.

“We have been back in training for a couple of weeks and I am feeling all good, touch wood."
