A step up to Perth racing is on the cards for Initial Concept after the impressive galloper won her third race in a row yesterday.

Trainer Murray Sharp was pleased with the four-year-old’s victory in the Louchecker.com Handicap (1200m) at Geraldton Turf Club.

Jockey Marco Chui sat the chestnut on the pace after the field of eight jumped from the barriers.

He then had plenty of galloping run in the straight and Initial Concept ($2.80) responded by holding off Crafty Lodger ($6) by a short head.

Sharp said a trip to Perth is likely to be the mare’s next test.
