Demons' hard work pays finals dividend

Demons put in a strong performance to earn a place in the grand final next week against minor premiers, B52’s.

Rats struggled to keep pace with the Demons outfit and trailed 5-2 at half time and eventually went down 8-5.

Josh Bentley and Jake Clairs each netted two for the winners with Rhys Knight and Nick Adam scored two each for Rats.

Knight, Peter Manuel and Ben Saunders were named best players.

The women’s game was a tough encounter between B52’s and Demons with the latter emerging 6-4 victors.

Ronnie Toomath had the hot hand, bagging four, with Lauren Stone and Abbie McDonald scoring singles for the winners.

Donna McConkey, Emma Hancox, Bridie Battilana and Casey McCagh all scored singles for B52’s.

Best players were Toomath, Battilana and Kate Kalajzich.

In men’s B division, B52’s Development finally triumphed over B52’s after an exciting penalty shoot-out.

The final score was 9-8 with Mick Mulligan, Kal Smith and Khallan Ridge named as best players.

Relics defeated Demons 6-5 with Steve Lawley, Zacc Cross and John Hancox named as best players.

In women’s B division, B52’s defeated Demons 5-2 with Sophie Ullrich, Emma Hancox and Emma Sutherland as best players.

Serpents defeated Relics 12-3 with Coraleigh Abrams, Coby Rowcroft and Tania Cross as best players.

In Women’s C, Serpents Green defeated Relics 8-2 with Sophie Coffin, Zoe Rowcroft and Ellie Canfield as best players.

B52’s defeated Serpents Blue 3-2 with Nerene Teakle, Collette Whitley and Sophie Ullrich as best players.
