It came down to the final run leg of the race.

Clarke completed the run leg in 43:16 minutes to storm home and take the win.

Channa Marsh (1.42:50) was the best of only two competitors in the women’s long course, while Paul Luxton (1.09:48) was named winner in the men’s short course ahead of Chris Worthington (1.11.53) and Kevin Osborn (1.13.46).
