More than $12,000 has been raised at a quiz and auction night held for Geraldton mother-of-five Sam Prunster.

The quiz, held last week at Towns Football Club, was organised by the family with assistance from several local businesses.

Ms Prunster suffered an aneurism on December 6, which was followed by a stroke.

Sam’s sister, Nic Curtin, said the family was overwhelmed by the generosity.

“We appreciate every cent and it is all being put in a trust fund to help get Sam back home to Geraldton with her family,” she said.
