Mid West Gascoyne police dog Bear showed exactly why he is not to be messed with on Monday night.
The German shepherd was unleashed when police attended to a report of an attempted theft from a Mt Tarcoola residence.
It was just after midnight when four males allegedly tried to steal a beach buggy from a trailer.
A resident disturbed the quartet and called police.
Police said an attempt by three of the males to flee into bush didn’t last long.
