The body of a man found in bushland near a motorbike at Devlin Pool on Monday has been taken to Perth to be formally identified.
It was believed to be missing 37-year-old man Jonothan Stephens, who was last seen in the area on Tuesday last week.
Police on Monday notified Mr Stephens’ family about the discovery of the body about 3pm.
Officers on off-road motorcycles and an air search by a private helicopter led an extensive search of the bush.
The search was launched on Monday, when police set up a command post at Geraldton Police Station to coordinate efforts to locate Mr Stephens.Full story in today's print edition
