An 18-year-old man has been charged over a burglary and vehicle theft from residents while they were sleeping yesterday.
Geraldton police Sgt Grant Rosman said a woman in Bluff Pt awoke about 1.10am to a Nissan Navara being driven away from the property.
A sliding window was forced at the property and a purse, wallet and keys were stolen from inside the house.
Police located the vehicle allegedly being driven by the man at the intersection of Preston and Bradford St in Webberton.
Sgt Rosman said stolen property was allegedly recovered when police searched the man’s house.
He will appear in the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court today to face charges of burglary, stealing, steal motor vehicle and driving without a licence.'The West Australian' is a trademark of West Australian Newspapers Limited 2013.
