88-year-old Patricia Weinert was issued this infrigement by Water Corporation for using her sprinklers less than 30 minutes early on her watering day.

A wheelchair-bound 88-year-old woman is one of 11 residents fined since the start of the year for using sprinklers just minutes from their allotted time.

The Water Corporation issued 35 infringement notices between January 1 to January 18.

Of those, 11 had been within 30 minutes of their designated watering times.

Sunset Beach resident Patricia Weinert had been admitted to Geraldton Regional Hospital for 10 days when her son-in-law Charlie MacSween went to fix the sprinklers at 5:30pm on her watering day.

Mr MacSween tested the watering system within 30 minutes of the 6pm start time before leaving the house.

He said the sprinklers had been on for approximately 15 minutes.
