A Stirling man, allegedly found in possession of substances understood to be methamphetamine and cannabis, tasers and an extendable baton has appeared in the Geraldton Magistrates Court.

Leeman police last Friday allegedly uncovered about 80g of suspected methamphetamine, about 52g cannabis and the weapons in a Toyota Landcrusier at Jurien Bay.

Kirk Matthew Renaud Ettia, 38, was not required to plead to charges of possession of cannabis and methamphetamines with intent to sell or supply and three counts of possession of prohibited weapons.

Mr Ettia is also charged with obstructing police and possession of a smoking implement.

He was released on strict bail conditions including a $20,000 personal undertaking and $20,000 surety.

The matter is due to be reheard later this month in the Perth Magistrate’s Court.
