When Perth DJ Phetsta is producing his music, he puts himself in the position of his listeners.
“That’s how I always try to write,” he told The Sauce.
“I think, ‘okay, this is going to be a dance fl oor thing’ or ‘this is going to be a sing-along track’.
“You put yourself in the shoes of the crowd and try to channel that rather than from the point of view of a DJ or a producer.
“It is about remembering back to when you were 19 in crowds watching a massive wall of sound hitting you and watching people freaking when their chests vibrate and drinks are falling off the stage.”
