There were two separate incidents involving vehicles hitting pedestrians in Geraldton at the weekend.
A 39-year-old male pedestrian, who police allege was drunk, was knocked down by a Ford Falcon utility on Fraser St, Beachlands, on Saturday night.
The injured pedestrian, of Beachlands, suffered serious head injuries and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the Royal Flying Doctor Service on Sunday.
He was placed in an induced coma and a RPH spokesperson yesterday said his condition was critical.
Acting Sergeant Keith Burrows said police were still investigating the incident, which occurred about 9.20pm.
