Police have warned of zero-tolerance towards street drinking in Kalbarri on New Year’s Eve.
Police say they will have no hesitation in handing out $200 fines to street drinkers.
The coastal town is a popular getaway for Mid West residents, tourists and families, to welcome in the New Year.
Kalbarri’s population has swelled by hundreds since the beginning of the Christmas holidays.
Police have rostered on extra staff to help keep the public safe, says officer-in-charge Sgt Matt Froude.
