An intoxicated and unlicensed driver left Mullewa police dumbfounded when he blew a roadside breath tester off the charts.
Police said the 24-year-old man blew the preliminary tester to its maximum reading of 0.4 during a 6.20pm traffi c stop on November 25.
First Const. Chris Martin said the man was brought back to the police station for a second breath test and returned a reading of 0.317 β more than six times the legal limit.
First Const. Martin said it was even more concerning that the man appeared to have no visible signs of being affected by alcohol.
βHe was talking and walking fi ne and appeared sober as a judge β there were no visible defects at all,β he said.
