Mount Gibson Iron has denied it is looking to off-load its port access at Geraldton, saying it will retain the “highly valuable” asset to ensure future growth.

Following the company’s annual meeting last week, The West Australian reported Mount Gibson was looking to sell-off all or part of its port access.

But Mount Gibson said it would continue to search for additional resources and was in a strong position to buy-up prospective tenements as it had access to port and rail for exports.
