Carnarvon resident Helena Bassett bagged $2500 of Best Buy Electrical equipment just in time for Christmas as part of the Northern Guardian’s Shop Local Campaign.
Ms Bassett said, when she won the main prize in December, that money had already been spent.
Revisiting her last Thursday revealed she had been more conservative than she had originally planned with still some money left to spend.
Some items Ms Bassett picked up before the New Year included a fridge, an iPod and a camera.
“It was lucky because we were already looking for a fridge,” she said.
Ms Bassett was entered into the draw when she filled in an entry form after purchasing an ink cartridge.
The second prize, a $500 KCD fuel voucher, was won by John Farne of East Carnarvon and the third prize, a $100 voucher for Carnarvon Menswear was won by Julie Williamson.
The Shop Local Campaign was a collaboration between the Northern Guardian, Best Buy Electrical, KCD Fuel Supplies, Carnarvon Menswear, IGA, Barry Evans, Mitre 10, Coral Coast Consulting, Gateway Motel and Amcal.
It encouraged people to keep their money in the town.
