Pip Christmass

blogger

Pip Christmass was teetering nervously on the edge an academic career when she suddenly realised that writing about art, film, fashion and music – in a language that people could actually understand – was what she really wanted to do.

Freelancing for The West Australian for four years before coming on board as a full-time arts writer in 2008, she has interviewed everyone from Yoko Ono and Jennifer Hawkins to Daniel Craig and Nick Cave, an experience she has still not recovered from.

An avid fashion enthusiast since her father brought home her first Vogue to read at age 14, Pip took over the role of fashion editor early in 2009. Good thing her major hobby is clothes shopping, but when she’s not scouring the shops for fabulous frocks she’s most likely to be found in the darkened confines of an art gallery, cinema or bookshop.
